Village Nature Gathering

June 16th-18th 2023

Moor Barton Wilding Project in Devon, England

We are delighted to offer an in-person gathering this summer, for all past and current Bringing It Home and Ecological Homecoming participants, their children, partners and close friends.
We are so looking forward to gathering together – and meeting many of you for the first time in-person!

Join us for long summer evenings, beautiful nature connection moments, a supportive and deepening 8 Shields village experience, songs around the fire and… evening or early morning sitspots to watch the newly re-introduced Moor Barton beaver family!

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The weekend will journey through the 8 directions, with a program of nature connection activities and games (experiencing the Ecological Homecoming core routines together on the land), group circle times, story sharing, singing, and the magic of an 8 Shields ‘acorn’ team holding us all.

Through embodying many regenerative, nature-based practices, we will explore how we can re-member ‘the village’ and how we can live in Wholeness with ourselves, the communities we are part of, and the global community of all species.

You will experience how it is to be held within the village-building model of ‘acorn leadership’ where people will be stepping into roles that were traditionally held within communities such as welcoming & inclusivity, vitality and body movement, community agreements tracking & accountability, embodying time for rest and self-care, circle leadership, honouring the ancestors and lineage, caring for the elders, ceremony and much more.

If there is enough demand, we will run a children’s program alongside the adults, so please let us know ASAP if you have children that want to come (aged 5-11 years)
